Penyebab gigi berlubang pada anak
- Gigi susu erupsi atau tumbuh pada usia sekitar 3 bulan sampai dengan 3 tahun. Baby bottle caries atau lubang pada gigi susu, biasanya mulai terjadi pada gigi atas, yang disebabkan bayi pada waktu tidur di malam hari diberikan susu dan tidak dibilas dengan air putih 
- Gigi tetap erupsi atau tumbuh pada usia sekitar 6 - 12 tahun, gigi graham pertama atau molar pertama tetap erupsi tetapi tidak menyebabkan gigi susu tanggal atau lepas, karena itu sering dikira masih gigi susu. Jadi harus diperhatikan hal ini supaya nanti tidak terjadi lubang pada gigi tetap nya

Why You Must Change a Toothbrush?



Here are some reasons why you should change your toothbrush:

After around three months of usage, the toothbrush comes to the end of its life and gets to a point where it is no longer as effective for cleaning around the tooth surfaces and this also includes brush heads on electric toothbrushes.

Research shows that a new toothbrush can remove more plaque than one that is worn out.

As the bristles become worn they become more prone to bacterial or fungal growth.

Using a toothbrush more than three months might give you dental problems, halitosis or bad breath.
Worn out bristles can cause gum bleeding.

It is also advised to change your toothbrush after you had an infection such as flu, cold, mouth sores or a sore throat. If you get sick make sure that change your brush even if it’s not 3 months old yet, as bacteria can breed on those bristles

Foods While Wearing Braces



Foods you CAN eat with braces:

  • Dairy – soft cheese, pudding, milk-based drinks, yogurts, cottage cheese, eggs
  • Breads – soft tortillas, pancakes, muffins without nuts
  • Grains – pasta, soft cooked rice
  • Meats/poultry tender meats, meatballs, lunch meats
  • Seafood
  • Vegetables – mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, beans
  • Fruits – applesauce, bananas, fruit juice, smoothies, berries
  • Treats – ice cream without nuts, milkshakes, Jell-O, plain chocolates, peanut butter cups, brownies, soft cookies. But remember to always limit your intake on sugar


Foods to AVOID with braces:

  • Chewy foods – bagels, licorice, pizza crust, French breads
  • Crunchy foods – popcorn, chips, ice, hard candies including lollipops, thick pretzels
  • Sticky foods – caramel candies, chewing gum, gummy candies
  • Hard foods – nuts, hard candies
  • Foods that require biting into – corn on the cob, apples, carrots, ribs and chicken wings


Habits to AVOID with braces:

  • Chewing on objects such as pens & ice cubes
  • Nail-biting
  • Smoking
